v

Until Time Ends

As light dances red on the horizon's end
we are captured... beneath stars born in a luminous sky
the moon rises with a dreamers glow of enchantment
our heartbeats pause, the world is silent and still
as your face is burned in my heart

the silhouette of your form stays motionless against the night
as we embrace a vision of misty dreams
where heartbeats are felt

I welcome your eyes
like a sparrow small seeking refuge in a storm
trying to cross the bridge to your heart
as your whispers of love captured mine
held as a prisoner without restraint
free to wander in love's wondrous thoughts
to the lush meadow of our destiny
where love is born, unaware of its first breath
when your eyes slowly lifted with a smile
inviting me to enter a world where dreams are made

where love becomes woven into the fabric of life
and caresses are measured like the floating wings of butterflies
that wind the clock's hands to eternal
from each warm melting kiss
welcomed in the slow motion of a vanishing night
where the moon is full
and lips dance across the skin of desire
anchored to love's moors by lover's chains
clasp around our arms by our passionate passions
driven by hunger searching for a sanctuary
until...each chain is released and a veil drops
to reveal our internal fires burning
exposing our vulnerable hearts with all their scars
laid out, as an offering upon the altar of love
where two candles are lit
...a promised beacon of truth given to our souls...
