Until Another Sky

Until Another Sky

We talked of stars and silly dreams,
of ghosts and ships from outer space.
Your laugh lit up the midnight beams,
I loved the wonder on your face.

We chased the storms and danced in rain,
shared secrets only we could know.
Your hand in mine eased every pain,
together love just seemed to grow.

You showed me peace in quiet nights,
we found our souls in simple prayer.
We traced the moon with soft delights,
and felt Gods grace was everywhere.

Now looking back I grin with glee,
at spoons we bent with energy,
at trees we swore felt misery,
those wild talks still tickle me.

I miss our hours sweet and true,
the way we fit just me and you.
We had to part our paths diverged,
but joy stays bright our love emerged.

Thank you for every blessed day,
for lessons wrapped in warm embrace.
My heart is full come what may,
Im grateful for your shining grace.

In some new life another time,
Ill find you there beneath the sky.
Youll smile and say youre right on time,
and moonlight pulls us you and I.
