Unspoken Words- Unpicked Hints-

I always thought if
I could tell you the truth.
But somehow,
The words were never spoken.
Went through them again and again
But could hardly speak them.
So they were wasted.
Unspoken words.
Unheard words.

I always thought if
You could pick the hints.
But somehow,
The hints I gave were never picked.
Kept throwing them again and again
But you hardly noticed.
So they were wasted.
Unpicked hints.
Useless hints.

I always thought
Life would be great together.
You and me.
Had I spoken the word.
Had you picked the hint.
And there we are.
In lives that are close, yet so far.
Successful lives.
Incomplete lives.
