unspoken

whispered confessions
floating through the pearly mist
amidst it you gleamed
a brilliant work of art--
a monet,
a mirage
and now i'm demented
walls lined with regrets
hung by your sully hands
yet you're pure,
i'm still insane
suffocating in
delusion, sorrow, pain
more
pain.

(loosely based on gracie abrams' i told you things)
