Unsocial Recluse

When you enter her domain she will pace Buried here in this captive place Mournful years make fingers made from hast Where these four walls hold a lonely face Saddened spirits willfully so misplaced Where lingering cries do embrace Raising stairs driving energies into space Where tarry moments leave a dusty trace Whispering voices never more erase When she has lost her breathing space

As sad as it may be, I saw myself in this write as I was several years ago, it made me teary eyed. Things are better now thank goodness. None the less, I thought this was a good write.

A wave of goosebumps overcame me as I was reading this piece...very nice job. Thanks for the comment on An Unlikely Husband; it had been kind of challenging to compose.

This was beautifully done. I held my breath without knowing while I read it. Very good job! Thank you for the sweet comment on my own piece! I felt like you really related to what I was saying--that means a lot to me!

Geesh, what a strange first comment. Poetry is indeed subjective and I feel you did a wonderful job with this form of poetry. You captured a most depressing person/place, and sadly, there are way too many I know of. Well done Laura. Love, Shar
