Unselfish Prayer

When you're tired, pray for the weary
For their strength to carry on
If you're lost and your path's uncertain
Pray the lonely find their way home

If you love this world more than God
Then pray for the addict who's bound
And when you feel that God's far away
Pray for the lost to be found

When supper time comes before you pray
Remember the hungry need fed
And when you're tired, remember those
With no place to lay their head

When you're all alone and afraid
Pray for those who are trapped in fear
And when your prayers hit the ceiling
Pray that God will draw souls near

For God loves a cheerful giver
So don't ever forget to care
And always think of others
With this unselfish prayer
