Unseen Transformation

Unseen Transformation
                                                           Dr. Shephali Chitre

On hearing whispers
I opened my eyes
and found little
angel standing
on his small feet,
blinking at me
with sunshine
smile.

Lost in his
rosy cheeks
and sweet laughter
I asked him
‘Do you know me child ?’
I found my
answer in his
sparkling eyes
and countenance
full of love-
These innocent angels
know no relations
know no creed
know no pride

Then when do these angels
lose innocent eyes
to eyes of hatred ?
When do their
angelic canvas mutated
to malice and hatred ?

How sad it is when little angels grow up to be as human as we are. I like this write.
