Unrequited Love

The name engraved in my heart Arteries pump a yearning chemical The soul craves his breath Weighing down my every move The mind bound to retention Of intimacy and passion Yet His Heart is translucent His body craves no touch of mine His eyes continue to hold light He remains extant, Like I am no longer a being I am no longer a being Without his love I am just matter A grey cloud lingering over the unobtainable A minuscule drop of oil in a body of water, That will never touch.
