Unrequited

Love.
So bittersweet
So vulnerable
clouded over me
and poured down heavily
embracing my being
and refreshing my soul
until I saw you
untouched
and dry.
But the rain didn’t stop
the embrace turned icy cold
pricking on my skin like needles.
I gasped for air
But you couldn’t see
After all, the Rain
fell only upon me.
