Unrequited
Melting under layers
under waves
of love
swimming in a daze
of pure bliss
memories suspended in time
time standing still
yet replaying again
and again
expressions of happiness
the warmth of a touch
lingering moments slipping
away
reaching out into emptiness
waiting for more
patiently waiting
sensation draining
knowing but not accepting
misty confusion
Painful gasping
watching everything
receding slowly
into the distance
