Unrequited
This mirage like distance
Are you there, are you not?
I could reach out to you for instance
Hold out my hand and feel like I have a shot
But this closeness is all in my head
Your image dissepates and I sink in quick sand
And it's this mirage like distance that I don't get
I can't understand, I hold out my hand
I can see you, always within my field of vision
But inches are really miles of land
Further and further, I have already lost my destination
My eyes are chasing this image that can't be caught
Are u there, are you not?
Reaching out, trying to grasp nothing more than a thought
This mirage like distance is all I got
