Unrecognizable

Unrecognizable, Is what you think of me. No need to say your pleasantries Of your superficial Odds and ends The daily doings of your life. Saddening, Isn't it? You rather look away. Though your eyes are kept in tune with mine. How hard it must be for you What a pity having to stay in a moment Of uncomfortable silences. (I whisper) I'm here. Right here. My body is not the same Its frailty bares my weakness, I move my hand up to my face, Maybe it would be better if you did look away. I do. My eyes can only speak, for my words Give away my insecurities. I'm here. The person you've known is still inside, still the same. You take me. You take your arms and put them around me. I push and pull How can you? How can you love me this way?
