Unplugged

I come unplugged
Blank with expression
A regression into a past
that sticks
superglued to my ass
that damn past!!!!
i clasp my hands
against the railings
of moments that adds more loads of sh.....
spitting words of hurt
regretting that i held on
the heat becomes numb as the
chill takes over
as the time decides to
grace me with a grain
living a screen at a pace
that would make the turtle
Flashgordon of movement.
A finger at a time
the hands removed itself
placed my love handles on scales
balancing my present with my future!

Wow, Karena! What a great expression of angst fostered by painful memories! Something to which we can all relate. Love, Carolyn
