Unpause

I clicked the “pause” on Trumpet Jazz
Before I went to sleep.
I fell into a sweet repose,
My slumber dusky deep.

But suddenly at 3 A.M.
I jolted bolt awake,
The trumpets wafting to my head;
There must be some mistake.

For unbeknownst to me, that button
Seemed to disengage
And Trumpet Jazz was wailing
Like some cats were on the stage.

Technology is helpful but
There oughta be some laws
Preventing what was caused because
My Dell unpaused the “pause.”

This poem gave me pause, I didn't know what to say. I sat here for a half an hour waisting away the day. So had to read it once again to make sure what I read. I know that 3:00 is early and you probably felt half dead. But if nothing else is pressing, drink a cup of joe. And let the dell just cast it's spell and write down what you know. For when I read your poem again I realized how much I have come to take your talent for granted. Peace. :)

Miles Davis was always my favorite jazz trumpeter. Another good write, Ilene.
