UNOBTAINABLE
If I could earn your love,
The way that I love you,
My life would be complete.
If you said, “Love you too,”
My heart would miss a beat.
If I could earn your love,
I’d never let you down.
If you would be my wife,
In sickness and in health,
I’d serve you all my life.
If I could earn your love,
I’d have all I desire.
I’d have no need to stray,
Content to have and hold,
Forever and a day.
If I could earn your love,
My dreams would all come true.
But that can never be.
You on the silver screen,
Are just a fantasy.
