Notes About The Poem

House cleaning, an older pen; written when my mother was dying, estranged before her illness.

Unnamed

This is her tragedy
not mine
after all these years
they
a flutter with feeling
when feeling is due
after all these tears
I have emerged

the cold one

wow, the emotions you must have been feeling. Well, not feeling, I suppose, which is the point of this short piece. I really like this one a LOT. Glad I could finally find one of yours I had not seen yet.

It was a strange time, an unmasking of sorts. It wasn't all numbness (some of course) but more like being an objective observer thrust into the middle of a plot. The drama. Lol ;) Thank you Andrea, your kindness and support means a lot to me. xo mo!

Maureen, Unnamed is a great title for this little gem! The hinges of hurt turned to ice somewhere along the way! You pinpointed your feelings in this poetic SmackDown! My best to you, chuck

Ouch! Remind me not to make you mad Maureen! This cuts so deep it hurts and that makes it such a wonderful write.

Mr. Jack used the word "incised" today. Your words cut and remind me of similar incisions on my heart. Ain't no better poetry IMO. ~ john

I love brief potent scalpel sharp pennings myself, honoured and elated that you should put me in such a category John. A warm and wonderful day to you! thank you :) xomo!

Giggle, I didn't like "Untitled" then in a search to name it thought of Unnamed which immediately fit both the emotion and circumstance which provoked this write.
