Unmitigated Disdain

I must confess unmitigated disdain For those allowing jealousy a place, An emotion from which I abstain I must confess unmitigated disdain, My brain simply will not sustain This drain upon my cerebral space, I must confess unmitigated disdain For those allowing jealousy a place.

Perfect form for a hateful emotion that too many exhibit Milt. Nicely done! Linda

Thanks so much, Linda. I prefer to do nature poems in this form, but this seemed to work. I appreciate your positive thoughts.

So much truth in your words Milton. A clever theme you selected to express your thoughts. Your insight and courage to write of emotions few want to share is a credit to your Poetry. An honest realization is read here. I can appreciate your Poetry for its Honesty and what it conveys... Enjoy your weekend my friend, Hope you have excellent weather and I wondered how your visit to the Fair was. I was hoping you write about your experience at the Kentucky Fair...

Don't push yourself too much Milton. One day at a time my friend. Enjoy your weekend and rest. Always be careful on your cardio limits. If you feel it is too much, slow down and gradually stop., take a break or stop completely. You are the best judge of that.

Thanks so much, Michael. I'm sure I will write of it at sometime in the future, but I have written some Pantoums and Villanelles, I believe, on the fair experience...county fairs, carnivals, firework celebrations, etc. Going to relax this weekend. Cardio-rehab takes a lot out of this old man!

These ending lines are as brilliant as the content.

Aw, thanks, Caren. I find these so easy to write.
