Unmirrored Past
A man in the dark shouts with a loud deep voice, tying to take me back down memory lane of what once a painful and mirrored past
I nearly lose myself trying to reminisce about the past he is trying to remind me of
Draw myself to forget the now and force myself to forget what once was
I teleported my scream “Do not take me there!”, refusing to go back
“I do not want to go there”, I shout making it clear that even though he does not hear
I wipe off my past from the mirror
With myself I betray my feelings, wipe off my memory and somehow adjust to collectively let go
I let lose and take back my power, going into the gravity of forgetting the now I am mirrored in
I tap into my sense of self and go deep into my glamour days leaving the past where it was
