Unlawful Melodies
Listen as they come by,
Footsteps light as snow
Foreign as spring
In this strange country
Raise our heads in sync
To the Beats of this terrible melody
Beautiful as it is
Seductive as it came to be
Let shadows brush through eyelids
Peer through the darkness
Take a peek as they come by
As they come by
With their dark and terrible melody
I hear the music as my knees chafe against the tarmac
Dragged behind the wagon by this dark and terrible melody
Forever tied to these Beats
Forever reaching for these elusive Beats
Who never waited for me
These unlawful melodies
