Unknown Territory

Oh, how I dreamed of telling you.
I thought and pondered many hours
of how wonderful it would be.
I hoped, dreamed, and wished
but knew it never could be.
I could never live another life,
away from the one I was imprisioned with.
I longed to run away,
to soar on diverse wings.
I never imagined you ever felt the same.
A miracle brought us together.
No army in the world
can ever make us part.
