Unknown Factors In Tai Chi
When I did the
hug-a-tree today,
I could feel my
breathing in my fingers
as the air
in my body moved my blood.
That Norwegian professor,
when I was 25,
told me that would happen.
One body, he told me,
like a fluid-filled bag,
like a decorative icing
squeezer.
Several times today
I could feel time stop
and I could feel the
gap between my fingers
tremble.
