Unknown Creation
I always seem to look,
Right into your eyes.
No matter the conditions,
Of the times I’ve driven by.
For many years I’ve seen,
A carved silhouette.
Of an image bigger than me,
That I could never forget.
Its’ character has a story,
Yet to be revealed.
But I don’t know how long,
It will remain concealed.
The distance, I don’t know,
But I see it for miles.
With a tall perfect posture,
Defining its’ profile.
It looks as if it were made,
From a big explosion.
But I know Mother Nature,
Sculpted it by erosion.
It took many years of water,
And air being blown.
To etch a brave warrior,
Right out of stone.
