Unknowing
unknowing she knows me
unraveling slowly
Bandages binding
constricting the wind
cooling the sun fall
red orange and royal
fields that I’ve dreamt
but never within
unknowing she greets me
a bow and curtsy
with king purple robe
and crown for my head
in lavender oil
washes the toiled
brow and in honor
lays in my bed
unknowing she holds me
closer than earthly
skin drapes the structure
of bones in a man
rending the fable
holding me stable
knowing she loves
the fool that I am
