Unknowing

Be confounded.
Raise a thousand doubts,
trust not words
or the light of the moon –
it has none.
Be troubled,
your safety lies in
utter bewilderment.

A learn-ed parrot
once instructed a Robin Red Breast,
the robin cocked its head
befuddled by the echoic redundancy
of the parrots lecture.
Which bird was wiser?
A donkey carrying a load of books
is still a donkey.

Claim your right to be wonderstruck,
unknowing, puzzled -
adore in endless amazement.

Wonderstruck or thuderstruck? Puzzlement or knowledge gained?. I pray for the guidance to differentiate. I'll move on from the parrot and seek the donkey's library. He and it will make great companions. Best - Ken
