Uninvited

A ruined welcome
as I walk in feeling uninvited
I cower in guilt
as if invading a home
A fear I'll have everytime now
unless I step far outside my comfort zone

Walking into a family of laughs and discussions
Leaving one that hides the truth
Cousins of recreation
from cousins of silence

I fail to realize the impression I make
and regret the one I made
Stepping over to the other side
failing to realize
not everyone will look upon
with satisfaction
