WoW! Lin, What a well-written and meaningful one-liner. A rose isn't injured because the thorns are its defense-Alexis

Another fine Monoku Lin, the thorn is indeed the roses protector, and a great job it does too, I had many scratches and tears on my hands to prove it when a child, cheers David

Thank you very much, David. Your scratches showed you craved a rose enough to brave injury by her thorns as in Daniel's quote by Bronte'

Thanks, Jan. Pricks or not, our petals are still in bloom and we’re not going anywhere after so many years.

Great Monoku, Lin; the flower's heart is too pure for any needle to cause damage.

In full bloom she doesn’t need them. The gardener needs shears to snip them off. Thanks, John.

Lin, a great monoku, a thorn cannot hurt the beautiful soul of the rose!

Aye that be true. "But he who dares not grasp the thorns, should not crave the rose" Bronte

Does she need protection because she’s fragile? It would be better if she were allowed to prick the hand of the one she would refuse than to rely on a thorn. Lovely quote, Danny. Thank you.
