Unhinged

I never go looking to look at a man
At muscles or height or brawn

So please understand
As I illustrate the picture I've sought to have drawn

While carefully I considered
the choice of a new spring frock

Unaware a stranger there proceded to
Pick the lock

On my reserve and composure
that I keep under lock and key

When a distinguished man
close at hand in french said please excuse me

Caught unaware no time for resolve
I henceforth went weak in the knee

Hi Vickey, This was a cute write. Please clarify, before you went "weak in the knee", is this a cloaked metaphor or were you in a dressing room and suddenly surprised?

He appearred at my side in front of a rack of dresses and first of all caught me unaware as my first notice of him was a beautifully accented french male voice within my comfort zone and all of this together caused me to go weak in the knees. Can't say exactly why but that accent so unexpectant in the heartland really threw me a curve.Sort of a semi swoon .
