Unfulfilled

Whispered dreams on gentle breezes
… taken by a wild and wayward wind

Songs of yen ‘neath shade of branches
…engulfed by tears of weeping willow

wishes made on sea’s white horses
…washed away amid the rolling waves

*** was intended for Adeleke's Sky, Soil and Sea contest,
I took too long but here's my effort anyway ;)

oh, my gosh, Sharon, it happened again. you were on my same "wave" length with your writing. Go check out my crystalline I did. I used very similar items to yours!! with the wind and the rolling waves, etc!! This would have done so well I think. Probably would have beat me out for sure, if I were to get on the list!
