Unfriended

If I spoke my true mind or spoke my truth
Would you be real kind or knock out my tooth
Could you be open to other thought or is your mind just closed
Would you consider what I have brought, what I propose
Are you so sheltered that ideas that aren't yours
Deserve to be locked up behind closed doors
My thoughts may not be your own, but do I have to stand alone
I may be wrong... nothing is written in stone
Too often I bite my tongue, stifle my voice so no one gets stung
Because social media is quick to try and rip out your lung
