Unforgettable
Each season does progressively come and goes
And at times clouds do scatter or form together.
Nothing can sooth one's heartfelt bliss and woes
As the mind travels memory lane to what it has grown to gather.
Winds and storms may blow hard and strong,
Trees, leaves and flowers may blossom and wither.
Nothing can erase the maps from long
That hold traces of testimonies and footprints that rests brighter.
Only thoughts, sayings and records can preserve
The forebears' voices and footsteps left behind.
No amount of saying and doing can make it reverse
Because it echoes every minute and day in each mind.
Their presence and deeds left a mark with an indelible stain,
That only commemorations or celebrations can sustain.
