Unforced love

I should never have to strive or try, To feel loved or accepted inside, When you make sincere effort to care, God showing me that person will be there, I've spent years going above and beyond, Trying too hard and then they're gone, Opening my heart and soul, Was it worth it if they just let you go?, He showed me the initial effort is not in vain, But after that they must reciprocate, And to have mercy on the ones who can't stay, Because our lives are filled with moments where we are unable to convey, Where our hearts are at in that moment in time, The fears we constantly must face in our lives, We sometimes fight ourselves more than we fight others, And sometimes it takes years to actually put it all together, Space and time is also love too, Still being there after all your going through,
