Unfettered

“Like free roaming stallions - my liberated dreams.” Apprehensive, I lay my weary head on the pillow of each long and restless night embittered by pursual of revenge till forgiveness came and spurred my demons’ flight. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Contest: One and One Sponsor: Rick Parise © 3rd September 2016

Spiritually deep poem, Paul. Full of much wisdom and humanity. Excellent write my friend. Great title as well. I was trained in the editorial arts. And one word captions/titles should say it all, what a poem is about. Hats off to you. Love your work as always. Much love to you. RW

I cannot take this as a personal experience for you because I simply cannot imagine you as vengeful - I'm trying. But, wise you are and I'm thinking the write stems from that. It is a very good one, Paul ... CayCay

You are right, CayCay...it's not part of my character to be vengeful or unforgiving! Perhaps I am too kind at times, and people try taking advantage of that...but I'm learning as I get older:) Thank you for the lovely complimentary remarks! ~ Regards // paul

Yes. Unfortunately I have been busy. I've been missing out on some good poetry by the looks of it, Paul. A great visual in the end about forgiveness' might upstaging revenges' cowardice ... and a timeless moral as well.

Paul, there is a song called "If wishes were horses only dreamers would ride." That was my first thought. The second was forgiveness works wonders. I enjoyed your poem.

Not being able to forgive can become our worst enemy, Daniel! It is forgiveness that sets us free. Thank you for stopping by with a 'like'. All the best. // paul
