-Unexpected Change

A bond unquestionable
Until now
A love so deep in its entirety
I truly wonder how

Yet it has happened
There is definite change
A disconnect unimaginable
Sadness knowing...It will never be the same

We view life so very differently now
Our thoughts and values no longer align
Sadly, there is no going back
No repairing nor healing with time

You have your own life
I have mine
Our lives became disconnected
Without warning, without a sign

I have a churning in my gut, an emptiness
I miss who we once were
Our relationship has disconnect and distance
But know l will never love you any less

That ending is so heartfelt, especially because some people use fake dislike as a sort of way to try to cope with the horrible change. Is this written from personal experience? If so, it is strong that you acknowledge your feelings while still letting the person live their life. I am in this situation too at the moment with a few long distance friends.

Hi Terry….l apologise for late reply….l appreciate your lovely comment and your thoughts ….thank you. Life and life decisions are hard at times and knowing how to deal with them appropriately and fairly is not easy as you no doubt know with your long distant friends situation! Yes ,mine is a personal situation. I feel l have learnt with maturity how to be less reactive and not respond while feeling highly emotional etc. Debx
