Undying Hope

Everywhere you look
you see the devastation
of life and nature
that has turned the world
into a wasteland

The lands are barren and dried up
the sea is polluted with waste
the sky's ozone is thinning
the mountains are bare
hope is lost somewhere

Homeless live on the streets
poverty strikes the masses
corruption prevails in offices
Crimes are on the rise
life seems to be hopeless

is there redemption
in all these hopelessness
can we build a better world
in the absence of peace
war is commonplace

Yet we cannot lose hope
we have to keep hoping
praying for life to change
for the world to be better
for peace on earth to reign
