Understanding

In the dark corners of my mind I can quickly relate A power so strong, a will so pure there can be no debate When I close my eyes tight, I can see past the stars, a new kind of life I see past human suffering and war, past constant sorrow and unending strife With my mind open completely, everything now comes into being My eyes closed but open I cannot help but see The answers, dear people, to all that we fear and hate, to all that is sorrow Is understanding and compassion, deeply and honestly, today, not tomorrow It is part of us all; each one knowing it is inside of me The key is to release it, unleash it and let it be set free
