Understanding
When you say you understand
What does it mean to you?
What does it mean to put ones self
In someone elses shoes?
Do you see it through their eyes
Through their point of view?
Do you put them on, and walk a mile in them too?
Do you imagine the path they took
Taken in the way you would choose?
Like you are them, and they are you?
Do you relate and empathize?
Or do you hate and criticize?
Have you ever felt the sting yourself?
Did you ever see that pain in someone else?
Ask them why and how and it doesn't help.
Just hear them out, and try to understand.
