Underneath Emotional Thumb
kept me down under your
emotional thumb
pushing me underneath
your sea of pet peeves
causing me to walk on
pre-cracked eggshells
scattered up and down
the road of the past
could not avoid pushing
your buttons no matter
how hard i tried not too
i always seemed to do
or not do something that
would cause you to blow
your emotional top
