Underestimated

For so long,
I was a different person.
I didn't show who I am.
I tried patience,
but there are moments when waiting won't work.
And so, I opened my voice
and set my muse free.
I stepped out of my cocoon.
It shook them, each and every one of them.
And though they fought, again and harder,
I saw that their faces were pale.
They've seen me, in my true form.
And that,
through all these times
I was,
underestimated.
For some, I still am.

Great poem of empowerment, Kaveesha. A reminder that bullies come in all shapes and sizes.
