Undercover

The detective peeked through the keyhole As he gathered clues at the scene of the crime He knew the suspects well, but things had spun out of control And had for a long time A heavy object had jammed the door shut He'd soon go through this scene with a fine tooth comb Then in the corner he saw a cigarette butt He knew it wasn't his, for this was his home! Behind the locked door was his wife and her lover It was one of his 'friends' who'd gone undercover He banged on the door, he wanted in In this situation no one could win He heard the door creak open later that night Before it was over someone would be dead But instead of bloody fight They had a threesome instead! 1-4-19

lol...I love a surprise ending. An entertaining poem, like a mystery kept my attention from beginning to perfect end. :D

Your detective story kept me going to the end, curious to find out what comes next. Certainly, wasn't expecting that surprise ending..I did laugh out loud. Well written, Joseph.
