Under Winter Skies
Under Winter Skies
Aurora dance and, in folds of colour, glow
Under the sparkling dome of Winter skies.
Northern winds from the frozen Arctic blow
And across the icy land cry and moan.
Migrating birds from summer nests are flown
When the bright Winter constellations rise.
The old Season ebbs; New Year's hopes are sown
Below darkened skies as slow passing hours flow.
