Under the heavy sky, pierced by pale light
Under the heavy sky, pierced by pale light,
I feel waves of silence in my soul,
The modern man, a wanderer within, carries
A thirst for forgetfulness, a hidden talisman.
Buried deep, far from the eternal echo,
Which whispers to him of his own smallness,
An echo clinging to the edges of nights,
A song of eternity in the heart of silence.
We run among the shadows of the day and flee,
From infinite questions in the abyss,
The infinite shows us our insignificance,
Abysses reflecting imperfection.
We seek forgetfulness in noise and light,
Man, wanting to admire himself, refuses
To look toward the starry sky, where stars
Dance the tale of eternity.
We step away from truths, step by step,
That remind us of our own transience.
We seek refuge in noise, distractions,
False victories of the self intoxicate us.
In the silence of late nights, shadows dance,
We meet the thirst for forgetfulness, a river
Flowing in our hearts, searching for the path
To peace that does not truly come.
We carry our burden like lost pilgrims,
In search of an Eden to reflect ourselves
Without fear, to look at ourselves without trembling,
Only in forgetfulness do we find the peace of being nothing.
A world that reminds us of our smallness,
We remain fragile and lost, seeking
The perfect silence that brings us comfort,
In a quietude where we find our peace.
