Under Quarantine
As new cases slowly begin to grow,
A strange disease threatens our existence.
All across the globe, fear begins to flow,
As updates now grip us with persistence.
From public places, people start fleeing,
Unable to enjoy the open air.
Now, we look all around ourselves–seeing
Loneliness, isolation and despair.
Venturing out, we keep a safe distance
To try and protect our own well–being.
Trapped inside, we fight a fearful feeling
That makes us paranoid and insecure.
We all hope that the world will start healing,
As doctors endlessly search for a cure.
