Unconditional Love ,For: Michael

Disillusioned
     with the world I am,
Betrayal of trust
     I can't comprehend.
Unwarranted deceit
     from stranger and friend,
With knowledge like this
     why do it again.

Then answers I found
     a few years ago,
From someone who knew
     what most never know.

A love with no commons
     like those bound from blood,
No ulterior motives
     such as, sexual love.
'Twas then that I knew
     the truth from pretend,
The rarest of loves,
     the "unconditional friend."

Oh, those ulterior motives. So hard to remove them from male-female relationships. Well-penned, Sheri! :) gw

Thankyou, this was written for a dear friend who passed 2 weeks earlier than the date written. Special friendship at a very difficult time. Thankyou.
