Uncomfortable

You told your man you would call.
You told your man to stand tall.
So here I stand with the phone in my hand waiting for a reprieve from the loneliness I grieve.

Excellent rhyming poetry with a twist of humor. Standing tall to hold a phone for a phony?

I like the AABB rhyme scheme in this work. Loneliness is crushing. Great work.
