Uncle Sam To the Rescue

Uncle Sam to the Rescue

By Elton Camp

In all this world, the CEO’s very favorite thing
Is when, to the rescue, Uncle Sam does spring

“Sam, you know, to fail, my company’s too big.
So from the public’s money give me a swig.”

“With the federal laws on business being so lax,
You mustn’t think, however, I’ll pay much tax.”

“And if things work out as they have before,
It won’t be long before I’ll be needing more.”

“And be most certain that you don’t long delay.
Because it will soon be time my bonus to pay.”
