"The night is young. Baby, so are we" is from "Shadows in the Moonlight"
by singer Anne Murry.
On their fifth anniversary,
the couple had a unique night.
They dined by candlelight and then
went ballroom dancing—a delight!
“The night is young and so are we.
You want to take a walk?” he said.
They strolled by many darkened homes.
It seemed most neighbors were in bed.
They passed an older couple’s home,
where shades were closed but light shone through,
revealing waltzing silhouettes.
They gazed at the inspiring view.
A night like this seems magical
for those who spend it in the arms
of those they love, for they have found
their partners have unchanging charms.
