Uncertainties

A voice is sought
Loud and clear
Echoing through crystal caves
Roaring as the waves

A voice eternal
A voice supernal
A beacon of hope
Sight to blind grope

Yet, sun after sun
And, moon after moon
From father to son
Years devoid of gospel

The bonfire of hope
Flickers and loses flames
With each new belief.
And all that is left is a dark light
