Unbroken
Memories from 2020:
UNBROKEN
Artist: Michelle Morris
Artist's Description:
When someone treats us badly, we need to learn from the situation. No matter how badly it goes, we need to pick ourselves up again and move on stronger than before.
UNBROKEN
BY MICHELLE MORRIS
Chorus
So I unbroke my own heart;
Stopped the bleeding of emotions and
Feelings of impotence.
So I unbroke my own soul;
Rescued myself from the hating and
The lonely desperation.
Now I'm unbroken and finally I'm woken up,
To know you're no good for me...
Without you I am free...
Free to be the best unbroken me.
(End Chorus)
You never told me you were leaving -
Leaving for good this time;
And your mouth it's been deceiving -
Deceiving for a while.
In whose bed have you been sleeping?
Sleeping in at night...
When you phoned and said
You had to work late;
Work late, tell me how...?
How could you be such a liar?
A liar who took me for granted,
For granted each and every time...
Time that I can't get back -
Back to the beginning;
Beginning of our mess.
Chorus
Why'd you behave like that..?
There's no getting back to us...
You took us for granted too many times;
You took me for granted but
Now it's my time to shine...
Now I'm unbroken...
I'm unshakeable...
I'm unbelievable...
I'm me...
