Unbegun
I said I want to be better,
Then laid down and drifted to sleep.
I swore I'd rise and do something different,
But got lost in thoughts too deep.
I said I want to be better,
But the tears fall before I can cry.
I've created rules as guidelines
But broke them all when the sun wakes up
I said I want to be better,
But I haven’t moved from where I stand.
Wishing for change with every breath,
And at the same time refusing to breathe.
So, if I want to be better, why can’t I just begin?
