Unaware

It’s been right in front of you
But you don’t know what’s there
I think you’ve caught a glimpse or two
But you’re still unaware

To others it’s quite obvious
As glaring as the sun
But you’ve closed your eyes
And shut out what it could become

I wish someone would tell you
Point it out for you to see
But if you can’t see for yourself
Then it could never be

So I have to walk away now
I can’t stand and wait around
This hopeless hope I’m holding
Will drive me right into the ground

I love this piece. Speaks volumes of the hard choices we sometimes have to make in life. Well done.
